About batch customer messages



Batch customer messages are distinguished from individual customer messages in that batch messages are targeted at groups of customers matching selection criteria whereas individual reminders are targeted at the  current customer. Individual messages can be "boilerplate" and/or hand crafted. Batch messages use (only) 'boilerplate' messages and are sent to groups of recipients.


The basic theme is "send this message to these people, at this time". There are myriad ways this scheme can be implemented

1. Changes to customer records made after one or more customer messages have messages on queue are not reflected from the customer record to any messages that are stored for the old customer record. These records are stored in the calendar table, which feeds the Customer Messages page
